Duties:

  • Drive business to hit quarterly and monthly target on unit sales, turn-over and market share for designated products.
  • Run promotions to hit target
  • Manage all product pricing with Product Manager’s authorisation
  • Support Product Manager to achieve targets
  • Initiate launch of all new products
  • Brief internal team on product, price and promotion information
  • Act as first point of contact with Sales team and Communications team.
  • Procurement and control stock of product samples
  • Maintain master database, pricing & promotions functions

2. Main tasks

  • Drive business to hit monthly sales target with daily communication with Sales, Logistics and Planning teams.
  • Monitor daily sales, margin, order book and supply performance for specific product category
  • Organise Trading meeting together with Sales to identify gaps and opportunities for product category to ensure monthly sales target/budget is achieved. Create action plan based on team consensus.
  • Chair monthly Product Management meetings inviting Sales, Business Planning and Communication teams to identify gaps and opportunities for product category to ensure quarterly sales target/budget is achieved. Create action plan based on team consensus.
  • Oversee monthly sales forecast process, consolidate results to build a monthly product plan for input into production planning tool. Create draft of sales budget split by customer and product to generate individual sales persons’ targets
  • Collect product information from European headquarters and distribute to UK team
  • Support Product Manager to achieve target.
  • Support Business Planning to create RR (Rapid Response) planning.
  • Run promotion plan with authorisation of Product Manager to hit target
  • Coordinate communication of all product-related information to appropriate internal teams
  • Ensure Sales and Communications team have all necessary product knowledge & materials to be able to support the delivery of strategy and sales targets.
  • Support Sales to ensure better communication with customer team regarding product- related information to deliver target.
  • Support Communications team to optimise communication with press regarding product- related information
  • Maintain competitors’ comparison chart
  • Coordinate Product Samples
    • Sample handling: manage the movements & allocation of product samples received, including invoices and delivery notes, ready for return when requested
    • Develop, maintain & communicate a reliable process & system for registering, loaning and supplying products to Area Sales Managers, industry professionals and events
    • Liaise with other offices regarding sample products including returns, firmware upgrades, mock-ups/dummies etc.
  • Manage promotional information
    • Update database regularly with new promotions, expired activities, price list changes, events & other relevant data
    • Liaise with Product Managers regarding new promotions, terms & conditions, claim dates, expiry dates
    • Project scheme: running the communications side of the scheme to Dealers and Key Account manager and website
  • SAP, Pricing & Promotions Functions
    • Material Master Data Maintenance

    • Factor Matrix management
    • Price List updating

3. Level of authority/discretion

  • Control product pricing with authorisation of Product Manager
  • Manage expenditure with authorisation of Product Manager
  • Holding samples and being responsible for their use, return or disposal

Education

  • Degree (2:1 or above)
